Enhance organizational sustainability through coordinated fundraising opportunities that support scholarships, cultural programs, and community initiatives. Build long-term stability through collective planning and shared execution.
Provide structured leadership development opportunities for youth and members through planning, logistics, and operational participation. Cultivate practical governance skills alongside experienced community leaders.
Participate in a collaborative network of Hawaiian civic clubs, hālau, Pacific Islander organizations, and service groups across Southern California committed to shared governance and collective advancement.
Create visible and accessible spaces for Hawaiian language, culture, and values. Strengthen cultural continuity by ensuring keiki and ʻōpio see themselves reflected in leadership and community life.
Organizations that share HICCSC’s commitment to strengthening Hawaiian culture, leadership, and community across Southern California are encouraged to explore membership.
HICCSC membership is designed for organizations that:
• Serve Hawaiian or Pacific Islander communities
• Promote cultural education, language, or traditions
• Support youth leadership and community development
• Participate in collaborative regional initiatives
• Align with HICCSC’s values of Aloha, Laulima, Mālama, Kuleana, and Pono
Membership is held at the organizational level, allowing clubs and institutions to participate collectively in HICCSC programs, initiatives, and events.
Applicant organizations must be a registered nonprofit corporation recognized by the California Secretary of State.
Organizations must hold current 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service.
Organizations should actively serve Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities through cultural, educational, or community programs.
Applicant organizations should align with the mission and values of HICCSC and be willing to collaborate with other member organizations.

Organizations interested in joining HICCSC may begin the membership process by submitting an application for review.
Complete the membership application form and provide basic information about your organization, leadership, and mission.
Applications are reviewed by the HICCSC Board to ensure alignment with organizational values, mission, and governance standards.
Approved organizations will receive confirmation and onboarding information to begin participating in HICCSC programs and initiatives.
